well, i'm at hk airport using a public computer. Once again I feel like buying something but just can't seem to spend anything. Hmm..Maybe it's because i'm afraid that I can get a cheaper price somewhere else? I feel so cheap sometimes...haha

 

so I'll be in hk airport for at least another 3 hours :( it's been a while since i've been here at this airport.

 

oh well. a little tired. I should probably make the most of my 3 hours here, hmm..homework? shopping? reading? sleep? eat?

 

ok...made another mistake again somehow. I thought the weather in taiwan would be around low 20s? but ends up it's around high 20's...how did I make the mistake? i'm pretty sure i checked the weather correctly. Me without my sandals, poor sweaty feet :( hahaha

Feels like Yunnan all over again, where I thought it would be warm but instead it was freezing cold.

of course this is US TV i'm talking about :)

 

so what series am I following?

Prison Break (season 3) - so season 2 wasn't so interesting, although I guess it got interesting near the end of the season. Saw the season premiere for season 3 last week, it was ok but a little overly violent and graphic. I wasn't too thrilled about it. I could dl the next two episodes but I think I might just wait till the season is over or just watch a big chunk at a time. It's not quite good enough that I can't wait to see what will happen.

 

Desperate housewives - season premiere is tomorrow. Yes, I'm actually quite interested to see what will happen. A whole bunch of stuff happened before the season ended. it's been 2 season already and it's still quite interesting and fun to watch :) I think it helps that it's not as serious as other tv series.

 

Lost - so moving onto season 4 i think? unfortunately the season won't start till next year!!!!..gimme a break. well at least they'll continuously have new episodes every week without any breaks.

 

oh ya, and there's 24. I got bored of that last season, a lot of the good characters left :( and it's been hard to dl too ...hehe

I think from now on wednesday will be my day for relaxing because I don't have any classes on Wednesday...oh wait, I forgot, I'm supposed to have wednesday night class but the class has been postponed till after the holiday :( oh well, wed. breaks were fun while it lasted.

So yesterday I finally had a chance to catch up on my sleep. My 10 hours of  sleep would've been perfect if it weren't for the washroom break at 5 in the morning. Regardless, today I feel so much more energized and just....happy :)

 

I could definitely use more 10 hour sleeps during the week.

Hard to believe that the national holiday starts this weekend. It feels like I haven't really done anything at all this month. Where has the time gone? oh well, I'd better start focusing on this semester and get things rolling otherwise before I know it'll be end of the year!!!

I think I've read more than 4 case studies on the wine industry.

First was about global wines

then California wine

then project on Chile wine

and now Australian wine... 

Ok..finally finished on of the biggest presentations i've ever done. Well I guess it wasn't that big but there were quite a few high profile guys in the meeting. I think there was the vice GM, director of marketing for asia pacific, head of LOEM sales, etc. you get the point. All in all there were about 10 guys their.  

 

anyways...it's finally over. we did a good job...and now for the next task.

 

so what's the next task? hmm...not sure.

lots of things I want to do this semester but not sure where I should focus my time.

 

spent this weekend thinking about it ( and sleeping)

haven't come up with a conclusion yet but I'll have to focus on something because I can't do everything

 

there's still constuction outside...something is definitely going to be built, I think this is only the start of all the noisy construction. I wouldn't be surprised if they built another fancy sports facility in that big piece of land they just cleared up.

Ok it's been almost a year that I've lived in the this dorm that I'm living in now. Not much has changed inside. I've just been collecting a lot of unnecessary junk in my room. (but i guess things could be worse). I do my best to transfer whatever junk i have to Toronto when I have the chance. Anyways, the inside may not have changed but stuff outside the dorm has definitely changed. Just look at the attached photos. if you compare 2006 and 2007 you'll notice that a whole building has been torn down. (the cause of all the noise). But i'm gratefull that they finally tore that building down, i think it was some kind of recycling holding area. (basically, it stinks like crazy if you walk by it). oh, if you look carefully you'll notice that they moved the entire wall beside the road to make room for a sidewalk. That was quite an accomplishment, i think it took them about 2 weeks to finish that renovation (and 24/7 noise during that period). Hmm..what else, i guess there's a big crane in the background.

 

oh MBA orientation is  about to start for the 2007 students. It's starting to look exciting.  It's a lot more catered towards an international audience. I'm kinda anxious to see how this year's students are. We have the chance to brainwash...eh...i mean "influence" them....haha

I do have to commend the gov't for their quickness in developing the city but frankly sometimes they just go to an extreme. I'm sitting here in my room and I think as early as 8:00am I start hearing the wonderful noise of construction again. It was just totally constant yesterday. Currently this big machine is still outside breaking down large pieces of stone. It's basically a big jackhammer attached to a machine. You can imagine how much noise this thing makes as it pounds itself against the cement blocks. The noise just doesn't stop, it goes on and on till dinner time (~6pm). And of course all through the night you hear the big construction vehicles go back and forth. (carrying dirt and rubble)

so yesterday I was in a latin/bossa nova music mood after being a cafe that was playing similar music and now?

....I just read that Pavarotti just passed away (so sad)...so now I'm suddenly in an Opera/classical music mood. Now i'm starting to listen to Pavarotti, Sarah Brightman and somehow Celine Dion got into the mix :)

 

I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner two days in a row!!!

(usually I skip breakfast because I wake up too late...hehe)
